I just bought a copy of vBulletin at USD 160 through Worldpay. It says there that it takes 24 hours to get the order processed - even though Worldpay has taken my money - I think this policy sucks!

Also, when the credit card transaction was successful, the thank you screen appeared and that's it - no info on what to do next. Can someone here who has purchased vBulletin before tell me what to expect next? Also, if there's anything I should look out for when I install vBulletin, please let me know - would be appreciated.

P, I know this forum is based on vBulletin - any suggestions, input would be appreciated :)

By the way, I'm getting vBulletin to start a forum for my primary and high school's alumni. Should be interesting....

Yeah.. I got the email from them and have just downloaded vB 3.0.3 - will install it later.

1. Is it difficult to install/configure?
2. Where can I buy a good skin? My budget is around USD 50.

I had a little look... http://www.vbmechanic.com/ comes up first, but only has 3 skins...
http://www.extremepixels.com/skins_vb.php Looks better but they are still only about 15 skins to choose from..
There are about 5 more at http://www.templatefreak.com/vbskins.php..

And thats pretty much it...
Although, thats more than I found when looking for skins for IPB... :(

STAY AWAY FROM TEMPLATEFREAK.COM

never ever buy vbulletin templates from them...all they send you is one html file and then youve got to create the skin yourself....its a waste of money

Is vBulletin expensive for the stuff you get with it p in your opinion? Should i get it for my site? Or ask for it for christmas?

Hmm... I've been to extremepixels.com before - all their skins are futuristic types. I'm looking for something professional/traditional since it's for my alumni's forum.

If I cannot find anything suitable, I may just stick to the standard skin with the logo changed - something like what DigitalPoints look like...

Why not just have a team change it around, Like colors.. Things like that. I would take a minimum of 3 days I would think. Post something on here asking for people to help you out. Im sure youll get some replies.

I think vbulletin is deffinately worth it :)

Im getting used to customizing templates in vb now. For example I managed to add a whole new side panel at www.web-master-talk.com
