The Best Directories

Hi,
Two questions:
Can anyone suggest a few quality directories that would help boost PR? How many backlinks (PR5) do I need before my rating improves from a PR0? Any help would be great. Thanks. proad

you should deffinately submit your site to www.dmoz.org. It may now directly give your site a PR but it will allow search engines to get to your siet to spider it.

What PR are you trying to get to? If your trying to get a PR of 5 then Id say around about 6 PR 5 links will get you there. If you cant get some PR 6 sites linking to you then it will be much easier.

I submitted my site to dmoz about two weeks. I keep checking every day and still nothing...! I'm confident that it takes alot longer than two weeks but the suspense is killing me.

Considering my site is currently a PR0 I would take about any ranking I can get. I am trying for a PR5 by linking with PR5 sites and looking for directories with at least a PR5 in my sites category. I'm really would like to get there in there in the next two months or so...

I've submitted my site to DMOZ about 2 weeks ago too - also not added yet.

Btw, is it DMOZ.org or DMOZ.com?

You won't cet the PR for a while. I would be amazed if you saw any PR by the next update, that is if you do not currently have any links pointing to your site.

There are loads of directories out there to submit to.
