What is the thing that you hate most about the internet?

I hate that when you tell people that you spend a lot of time on the internet, they wonder if you frequent porn sites :(

Hello! There is a ton of fun stuff to do online!

Nuvo

Popups, huge errors on "web designer" sites, MySpace, the marketing stratergy of versioning the internet with cack like "Web 2.0", text messaging \ AIM style typing, 1337, fanboys, trolls, 13 year old spoilt brats, Internet Explorer, the fact that no matter what you search for, you pretty much always end up with at least one porn site in the results, site rippers, Flash 8 & 9 powered (or rather crippled) sites, annoying animations with lots of flashing, people thinking they are better than others and wanting to start a web host despite not knowing what Apache is, what bandwidth is or what they should be offering potential customers, flame wars between people using X language and people using Y language despite the fact that these people may not even have any practical experience with the other language and people who buy domains and never use or sell them as it makes finding decent names harder for the people with tallent...

I think I hate the internet... Oh well, back to coding for it :]

It makes me sad that some hate Microsoft just because they're Microsoft without giving them a chance :(

I think you'll find that it's the majority and most of the majority dislike MS due to alot of factors and not just because of the brandname.

You can disable Nudges in the Tools menu of MSN/Windows Live Messenger by clicking on Options in the sub-menu and un-ticking the checkbox under the Messages tab :)

Add to that list, people who are your friends actually openly mocking you because you dare to have an opinion on something. Its even worse, when said mocking person tries to imply that said opinion is invalid because you dont have kids, never been there <insert crap reason here>. It does my sodding head in it really does.

Oh and add to that, websites you frequent suddenly openly encouraging spam by adding a "Refer a friend" emailer to entire address books. Like we dont get enough of this join faceparty/myspace/profileheaven/<crap social site> without another place adding to it.

I think agree with most people's points...although esp. Sweet's.

My hubby is convinced that everyone on the internet is a murder/pedo/other derranged pesrson. No re-phrase that. Not everyone just people I talk to, who are my friends.

So Moddy, where have you hidden the axe? lol

I think Nuvo has a good example of stuff that I really dislike about the internet, so I quoted it again below. However, the biggest thing that I hate is the "misinformation" that you can find online. Some people think that because it's on the internet, it's the truth. That's not always true and there's so much misinformation that just makes me sick.

I hate errors.. if I try to visit a site and if that's down or showing any errors and I am unable to get into.. that's the thing I hate. and in most cases it happened to me. I am the unlucky guy, just my luck

Scams Spam and Hackers! Hackers are increasing and learning too many things and some countries will not take the internet seriously.
Your website is your property! Is it not illegal to destroy or deface other people's property??? So why should it differ online.

hmm, hackers and spam are just a little problem which can be solved, I think. I just hate the arrogance of typical IT-like persons, the so called "nerds". Man (-or woMan!), I have 20 of such people in my class, excluding a few of them, I've never seen so much arrogance in just 40 square meters...

I hate people who act tough lol, and in realy life they're weak.
They think that because there's a screen in front of them they can do what they like.
