well yea I see DHTML as being a language... Ive never used it though ;)

just an extension of html really, kind of an upgrade not really a unique language

No, DHTML isn't a language, it's a... method.

DHTML = HTML + Javascript.

Well not precisely HTML+Javascript. Rather it's manipulating HTML with Javascript (ie: menus, JS tooltips, collapsible tables etc).
