Adsense help in google rankings?

I wonder if displaying adsense adverts on your site helps in someway with your search engine rankings. Because think about it... You displaying adsense will earn google money...

I know its probably a longshot but I wonder if it has any effect at all, even if its tiny.

doubt it, seems like most of thier stuff is legit and fair etc

i doubt it too.

however, i always have this feeling that signing up for adsense/adwords gets your site spidered faster and more often (i'm no seo expert though - in fact i'm a relative newbie) :)

yeah maybe. because adwords has got its very own spider bot which checks to make sure that sites are following the adsense rules. eg: only having a maximum of 3 advs on any one page.

but maybe some of the info it gathers is passed on for use with rankings... but then maybe not
