If you are having problems with your machine and for some reason you need to get rid of windows messenger then it couldn't be easyer :-
1. Goto Start -> Run
2 Enter 'RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove'
3. Click ok
4. Restart your machine
5. You should now not have windows messenger on your computer :D
