IDE cables...extra connections...

What is the maximum number of devices you can connect to an IDE cable for it to work fine? Ive got a few cables with 2 connections but are there any avilable which have got 3 connections?

Never seen a 3. Most that I have seen is 2 and I believe it's only max to 2. Devices can be set to primary or secondary, never have I seen tertiary... :D

yes i know all about primary device and then the slave - thats just set by the jumpers on the device. but in theory you shou.ld be able to set 2 as a slave because the only reason for having a primary drive defined is so that the computer knows which one to load from(if set to load from cdrom drive in the bios)
