As soon as I think of which of the following Im going to do I will be buying a reseller hosting account and offering hosting.
Either I:
a) Use Dev Dreams and add a 'Hosting' section to it where people can buy hosting from. With this there is already a fair amount of established traffic.
b) Register a completely new domain name and build up a hosting site from scratch totally independant.
Which do you think would be best?
Thanks

Depends...
It would be in your advantage at first to use DD because of the regular traffic here... but In the long run an independant site would be best.
I personally would like it to be part of DD so I can spent Forum$ there... ;)

In that case... Can I suggest you put it as a totally indepent site but link back and forth...
Thus helping SEO and traffic to both sites.

I would...
start an independent site but "affiliate" with yourself.

i would use dd and add a hosting section, then u would get the traffic from dd wanting hosting, or if its better for u, u could make a different site and then link it form dd.

Yah devdreams is already established. You get a lot of traffic so you might aswell have it a part of devdreams. i.e hosting.devdreams.com. Other wise youwill have to find a way to drive traffic to the histing site aswell :D

i would go for an independent site... cleaner...
but i would leverage on the traffic you get from dd... :)

agreed, make it another site entirely but affiliate, or have a "basic" plan available on this site and have a link that says "see more features" or "visit www.yourhostingname.com" to view al hosting plans. If you could somehow drive your traffic from here to the hosting site then it would be a great benefit.
