Will this work:

A BT modem with the USB output cable into a USB splitter splitting it into USB1 and USB2. USB1 would go into one computer and USB2 would be connected to a converter adapter to convert USB into ethernet.. This ethernet would then be going into another computer into a different room.

Now will this work? Do you think it would be ok to simply split the line using a USB splitter to share the signal or do I really need a really expensive Wireless router?

why not just use the router to split to connection into 2 seperate lines?

well yes but a wireless router for example has got CRAP signals.. You see its quite a fair distance from the modem to where the other computer is.
