Google backlinks updated?

Ive read at various other forums that google has updated it's backlinks. If this is true then in theory the PR update should soon follow.

the backlinks updated a while ago, and I think the pr will update 1st of jan :)

yeah, the google toolbar pr has been updated... my site went from a 3 to a 4... wooohooooo!!!!!!
