    Default MillionDollarHomepage All Sold

I'm pleased to report that The Million Dollar Homepage is back online after
almost 6 days of downtime due to a malicious attack by hackers who tried to
extort $50,000 from me. I'm pleased to say that I did not pay a penny, and
worked closely with my hosting company Sitelutions and DDoSprotection.com to
stop the attack. I can also report that the FBI are investigating (this is
because my website is hosted on servers in the US).

Happily, now that the site is back online, I'm able to properly announce the
winner of last week's eBay auction for the last 1,000 pixels. The auction
ended Wednesday 11th January, but unfortunately that was just as the attack
on the site began, so I was unable to upload the winning bidder's pixels and
give them the fanfare they deserved.

So, without further ado, I'm very happy to announce that Elijah Kliger of
Brooklyn, NY, is the proud owner of the last 1,000 pixels for his new site,
    http://www.MillionDollarWeightLoss.com, which sells a variety of weight-loss
products and supplements. The winning bid was $38,100 - congratulations
    Elijah!

The auction completed the sale of all one million pixels on the homepage and
brought the final total I've earnt from the site to a massive $1,037,100 -
not bad for less than 5 months work eh! I've kept saying it, but this whole
thing still hasn't sunk and I'm really not sure when it will. It's been an
amazing experience and I'm sure 2006 will be an exciting year.

I'll keep you posted - I have a few new ideas up my sleeve

Thanks for your support, and have a great year.

    Alex
Thats the message that was sent out to everyone who was following milliondollarhomepage.com

He has now reached the $1,000,000 mark which I think is amazing

According to his message he has a few ideas planned... I wonder what they are - at least funding them wont be a problem.

Yeah, I have been there a few times and the idea has really taken off.
There's tons of copycat sites out there trying to make money off of his idea, which sucks as they could at least try to be origional rather than straight ripping off the origional.
He was using the money earned mainly to pay for his education as he's in the UK, so $1million isn't quite £1million and I doubt any of the copycats will put their earnings to any good uses other than lining their own pockets
The fact that such a simple idea has not only allowed him to reach his target, but surpass it by a considerable amount (even if you think in terms of British money) shows that he has initiative.
The losers who tried to blackmail him deserve whatever they get if they are found and the fact that the FBI is looking into things is reassuring as they should be able to get somewhere.

Now, I wonder what he's planning to do with the £21,019.83 he made over his target

Most recent change: Theme support is up and running... So long as I use my theme resource loaders instead of that in the Rails plug-in.

I can go anywhere I want - except there.
I deleted my cache when it first didn't work, to no avail.
